Have you ever posted something on Facebook or Twitter and later regretted it?
Has someone posted something about you that you regret?
Is it time to clean up your online image?
You might want to try a new Web app called SimpleWash (originally called FaceWash).
According to an article on TheNextWeb, SimpleWash “finds and helps you remove profanities from your Facebook profile.”
Of course, you have to allow the *@$% app access to your Facebook and/or Twitter profile first. Once you’ve done that, SimpleWash “scans comments posted on your wall, photos you’re tagged in, photos you’ve posted, links you’ve liked, status updates and more for offensive content.”
SimpleWash flags content it deems offensive, and you can delete if you want. There’s also a search feature so you can have SimpleWash scan for a particular word or phrase.
I think I’ll tell my teenage kids about this app! What do you think? Does your Facebook profile need a SimpleWash?
