Facebook Tutorial: Two Ways to Make Pages You’ve Liked Display on Your Profile

Like many of you who use Facebook personally and professionally, I have a Facebook personal profile, as well as a Business/Fan/Official Facebook Page that’s connected to my personal account.

Often, I’ll “Like” a Facebook page when I’m logged in under my personal profile, when I actually meant to Like the page via my business page’s persona.

I did this today, in fact, and decided I needed to “Unlike” or “Remove” that page from the list of likes under my profile and display it on my business page, instead.

So I logged into my personal profile. I checked my “Friends” list. No Business Pages I’d liked were listed there.

Hmmm… where’d they go?

After hunting around, I finally found the function for displaying and unliking pages, buried (of course) in a completely illogical place.

And then I found a simple Facebook app that works much better. This tutorial will walk you through how to use both methods for finding and displaying Pages you’ve Liked.

Method #1: ‘My Favorites’ App

Let’s start with the easy method: Install a Facebook app called “My Favorites.”

  • It displays your Liked pages 12 at a time in a table format.
  • It displays the Pages in the order you’ve Liked them, with the most recent Liked page first on the list.
  • It also shows how many Likes each page has.
  • A nifty dropdown menu allows you to display your Liked Pages by Category.
  • You can also make it display pages that your Friends have liked. (I didn’t do that, as it seemed like overkill, and I’m really not that snoopy!)

After you install the “My Favorites” app, it will display the link in the APPS area of your lefthand sidebar.

Click the Pencil icon to the left of the App to edit the settings, remove it, or Add it to your Favorites.

If you click “Add to Favorites,” it will move the app icon and link up in your sidebar, into the section marked “Favorites.”

Whenever you want to look at your list of Liked Pages, just click the “My Favorites” icon.

Method #2: Activities and Interests

From your personal profile’s Home (Newsfeed) area, right next to your profile picture, click “Edit My Profile.”

From the list in the lefthand sidebar, click “Activities and Interests.”

At the very bottom of the “Activities and Interests” area, click the link that says, “Other Pages You Like.”

A list of the Pages you’ve liked will display in random order, and you can either click the Page name to visit the Page, or click “Remove Page” for the ones that no longer interest you.

Try it, and let me know which method you like best. And if you’ve discovered an even better workaround, please share it.

The fan pages I set up, used be show up in the side panel of my personal profile on my home page, but within the last couple of days, they’ve disappeared.  Do you know how to get them to display again?  thanks, Jay

Often, Facebook will prompt you to create an ad featuring your (fan) page and you’ll see that prompt in your righthand sidebar. But to my knowledge, a list of all the pages you admin has not displayed in either sidebar of a personal profile for quite some time. I wish they would!

Can you clarify your question a bit? I’m not quite understanding what you’re asking.
